Elcano platform presented at FITUR 2019
Elcano platform, developed by Elecnor Deimos for ADIF, was presented at FITUR 2019, International Tourism Exhibition.

Elcano platform, developed by Elecnor Deimos for ADIF, was presented at FITUR 2019, the International Tourism Exhibition, at the booth of the Spanish Ministry of Civil Works and attached entities. Fitur, held at the end of January in Madrid, is the main annual meeting of the international tourism sector.
Visitors and professionals of FITUR had the opportunity to learn about the capabilities of Elcano platform and its products: Elcano Rail, Elcano Info, Elcano View, Elcano Near, Elcano App and Elcano Domo, a suite of Adif tools to bring information to its users, helping them since they plan a trip until they reach their destination with access to quality information, efficient energy management and personalized services for clients.
Mr José Luis Ábalos, Minister of Public Works, together with ADIF President, Isabel Pardo, visited the booth, interested by the new features of Elcano suite.
New funcionalities of “Elcano on your mobile” App
The update of the “Adif on your mobile” app, based on Elcano App, includes the new “Notices to stations” functionality. This new functionality allows users to report on the incidents they detect in the stations managed by Adif for a faster and more efficient resolution.
In a simple way, any deficiency can be reported in a station related to: cleaning, water, lighting, elevators, ramps or stairs; as well as incidences of the information systems to the traveler or in the commercial zones.
Also with this version it can also be shared through instant messaging applications (whatsapp, hangouts, telegram, etc.), social networks, email, etc. information about a traveler’s train to inform their friends and family about his trip.
Likewise, a direct access to the Twitter account of Adif (@InfoAdif) has been included, to be able to consult any type of incident or relevant information with the railway circulation.

Elcano Near presented at ADIF booth in Fitur 2019
Another novelty presented at Fitur 2019 is Elcano Near. This product of the Elcano platform allows public and private entities to display information about train schedules of a station on monitors and display devices.
Elcano Near is the tool that brings information to where it is needed, making information more accessible to citizens.
It is intended to facilitate the information of the commercial offer as a first step to achieve a more sustainable, quick and efficient mobility, and encouraging the use of public transport.
All customers of the rail network will have access to information regarding schedules and real-time estimates arrival time, wherever necessary, allowing passengers to make an effective management of their time and a correct forecast of arrival at their destination, facilitating the realization of their transfers between different transport systems.
